It is well known that Enrique Corcuera invented the sport in 1969, but the journey has been more unpredictable than you should know when it comes to naming the sport. Enrique did not name it, so it was actually his friend Manuel who took on the task of finding the name.
Manuel Arango was primarily friends with the Corcuera family, but also the man who built the second padel court in Acapulco, he is also the author behind the very first rule book for padel.
